# AIPhotos Privacy Policy *Effective 26 October 2026 · Published at <https://koretech.vercel.app/privacy-policy/aiphotos>* AIPhotos (package `com.kore.aiphotos`) is developed by Rehan Sathio. ## In short AIPhotos is a photo gallery that works entirely on your phone. It has no accounts, ads, analytics, crash reporting or tracking, and no Internet access. Your photos, your videos and everything AIPhotos works out about them never leave your device. ## What AIPhotos stores, and where Everything below is kept in the app's private storage on your phone. It never changes or deletes them unless you ask it to (for example Delete, Move to Album or Save in Compress Video). Items you delete, including from Clean Up, go to Android's Recently Deleted and stay recoverable for 30 days. Favorites are never suggested for deletion. ## On-device AI Everything AIPhotos does with AI runs on your phone's own processor: - **Smart Search, Find Moments, Live Search and Categories** use Google's EmbeddingGemma model. You download the model file yourself from Hugging Face (huggingface.co) in your own browser, and Hugging Face's privacy policy applies to that download. - **Text in Photos** uses Google ML Kit's text recognizer, and **People** uses ML Kit face detection and the GhostFaceNet face model. All of these are built into the app and run offline. - **Photo Chat** (optional) uses Gemini Nano, Google's on-device model that Android's AICore system service provides on supported phones. AIPhotos ships and downloads no model for it. The photo you ask about and your question go only to AICore on your phone, which answers offline. AIPhotos never uploads your photos, videos, faces, recognised text or searches. ## Permissions and why - **Photos and videos**: to display your library and, when you turn the features on, to analyze it on the phone. - **Audio files** (optional): to list and play your voice recordings in Albums > Recordings. AIPhotos never records audio and removes the microphone permission from its build. - **Photo location**: to show where a photo was taken and to search by place. Coordinates are matched against a built-in city list and never leave your phone. - **Media management** (optional): to favorite or delete without a confirmation each time. - **Camera** (optional): only for Live Search, which compares what the camera sees with your library on the phone. Frames are kept in memory while that screen is open and are never saved or sent anywhere. - **Notifications**: to show progress while photos are analyzed. - **Foreground service**: so analysis can finish in the background. ## Network use AIPhotos has no Internet access at all. It removes the Internet permission from its own build, so it cannot send or receive anything. You can confirm this in Android's app info. Links, such as the model download page and this policy, open in your own browser. Buying Pro goes through the Google Play Store app, which does its own networking. ## Purchases (AIPhotos Pro) AIPhotos Pro is bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment, and Google Play's terms and privacy policy apply to it; AIPhotos never sees your payment details. The app asks the Play Store app on your phone whether you own Pro and keeps only that answer (and, if you start it, when your free trial began) on your phone. The free trial needs no payment details and ends on its own. AIPhotos has no account system and no server, and sends no purchase information anywhere. ## Sharing AIPhotos shares nothing on its own. Photos leave the app only when you share them or drag them into another app, and only to the app you choose. ## Your controls and deleting your data - **Settings → Smart Search**: turn AI features off; **Settings → Storage & Cache** deletes the search index and caches. - **Settings → Text in Photos**: turning it off deletes all text read from your photos. - **Settings → People**: turning it off deletes all face data and names. Choosing **Don't Feature** for a person only hides them; their face data stays on the phone until you turn People off. - **Settings → Photo Chat**: **Delete All Chats** deletes every saved chat; **Clear** in a chat deletes that one. - **Categories**: deleting a category deletes everything stored about it. Your photos are not affected. - **Uninstalling AIPhotos** removes everything it stored. If you chose a model file from your own storage, it stays there until you delete it. ## Children AIPhotos collects no personal information from anyone, including children. ## Changes and contact If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and on its store listing, with a new effective date.
