# Privacy Policy — Quotica **Last updated: October 30, 2026** This policy explains what information the Quotica app ("Quotica", "we", "us") handles, why, and the choices you have. ## Summary - Quotica has **no accounts** and does not ask for your name, email or contacts. - Your favorites and settings are stored **only on your device**. - The app shows ads from **Google AdMob** and its mediation partner **Unity Ads**, which may collect device identifiers and usage data as described below. - You can remove ads with a one-time purchase handled by **Google Play**. ## Information stored on your device - **Favorites** — quotes you save. - **Preferences** — theme, reminder times and similar settings. - **Today's quote** — so the daily quote stays the same all day. A set of quotes is also built into the app so it works offline. - **Ad-free status** — whether you bought Remove Ads or earned ad-free time. This data never leaves your device. It is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall Quotica. You can also clear favorites and cached quotes in **Settings → Data**. ## Quotes service To load quotes, the app contacts our quotes server. These requests contain the category or search text you choose. They do not contain personal information, though, like any internet request, the server sees your IP address. We do not use it to identify you. ## Advertising (Google AdMob and Unity Ads) Quotica shows banner, native, interstitial, app-open and rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may fill some ad requests through its mediation partner **Unity Ads** (Unity Technologies). To serve and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google and Unity may collect and process: - your device's **advertising ID** and other device identifiers, - **approximate location** derived from your IP address, - **app interaction data** such as ad views and clicks, - **diagnostic information** about ad performance. **Your consent choices.** If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Quotica asks for your consent through Google's consent message before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in **Settings → Privacy options**. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device settings (**Settings → Google → Ads** or **Settings → Privacy → Ads** on Android). Unity's is described in the [Unity Privacy Policy](https://unity.com/legal/privacy-policy). Ad SDKs keep temporary ad files in the app's cache; Quotica trims that cache automatically. ## Purchases (Google Play Billing) If you buy **Remove Ads**, the payment is processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. Google tells the app whether the purchase belongs to your Google account so ads can be removed, including after reinstalling. ## Remote configuration The app may download settings such as ad on/off switches and frequency limits from Google Firebase Remote Config. This involves a Firebase installation identifier and basic device information. It is not used for advertising. ## Notifications If you turn on Morning motivation or Good night reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device. No information is sent to us. ## Children Quotica is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will help remove it. ## Data security and retention We do not run user accounts or store personal data on our servers. Data held by Google is kept according to Google's policies. ## Changes to this policy We may update this policy from time to time.
